Community-Counselling Programs to Help You Along the Way
Our Community-Counselling Programs offers counselling and after-care programs to support individuals in recovery from problematic substance use. We believe recovery is possible for everyone and provide the support and resources necessary for lasting change.
Our aim is to provide a compassionate, non-judgmental space for healing. Together, we’ll help you reclaim your life from addiction and build a healthier future.
Turning Point Outreach Community Counselling (TPOCC Program)
The TPOCC Program provides short-term counselling and referral to longer term supports for individuals living with substance use disorders, and who are either transitioning to other levels of support, or are otherwise at risk of overdose.
The program provides up to 12 free individual counselling sessions for individuals struggling with substance use and mental health challenges who live within the Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) catchment area. We receive referrals from VCH mental health and addiction resources, such as Vancouver Detox, START home detox, Raven Song, Onsite, Junction, and the Robert & Lilly Lee Community Health Centre.

Aftercare Program
Addiction recovery is a long-term process that continues after treatment. Our Aftercare Program provides ongoing support after treatment, helping you anticipate future challenges to your sobriety and come up with solutions in advance.
At Turning Point, we work with you to create an individualized care plan. The aim is to focus on the life goals you would like to work towards as part of your early recovery and a plan to prevent relapse. Your plan may include activities, interventions, and resources to help you manage triggers, stress, and cravings. Each person’s care plan will vary based upon their individual needs.
