Community-Housing Programs to Help You Along the Way

Storeys Housing

Storeys is a vibrant and innovative affordable housing community located in Richmond, BC. A collaboration between local, provincial, and federal governments, along with five dedicated non-profit organizations, including Turning Point Recovery Society, Storeys is more than just a place to live—it’s a place to grow, connect, and thrive.

This unique development not only provides safe, stable housing to individuals who participated in Turning Point’s recovery programming, but also provides on-site supportive services to help residents strengthen life skills and achieve long-term stability. For instance, the ground-floor Storeys Café, operated by Turning Point Recovery Society, serves as a social enterprise aimed at assisting residents in their recovery journey. The café offers job training opportunities, helping residents develop employment skills and re-engage with the community.

Reaching Home

Reaching Home is Canada’s Federal homelessness strategy. The program supports local communities in preventing and reducing homelessness by helping people access safe and stable housing. In Richmond, our Reaching Home Program works with individuals, families, service providers, and landlords to support people who are experiencing homelessness or are at risk of losing their housing.

Our program helps people find housing, settle into their new home, and stay housed. We work with each client to understand what they need, what barriers they are facing, and what supports would help them move forward. This may include help with housing searches, move-in costs, short-term rental support, landlord communication, referrals, basic needs, and follow up support. We also work closely with community partners and landlords to make sure clients are supported through their housing journey.

Referral Pathway

Referrals to the Reaching Home Program must come from a service provider or community partner in the housing, health, outreach, shelter, or social service sector.
To submit a referral, the Reaching Home Referral Form must be completed and signed by the client being referred. Each referral is reviewed based on program eligibility, client need, available resources, and current program capacity.

Landlord Partnerships

We are always looking to connect with landlords who have safe and suitable rental units available and are open to working with our program. Our team can support communication, tenancy stabilization, and follow-up with clients when needed. The goal is to build positive housing connections that support both clients and landlords.
Landlords interested in working with the Reaching Home Program can complete the Landlord Interest Form.

Harbour House

The building includes 25 independent units, each with their own kitchen, bathroom, living area, and furniture.
